Extra stock is what a store holds beyond what it will sell before the season ends:
Formulas
Stock − Weekly sales × Weeks leftKey points
What it will sellHalifax: 2 a week × 4 weeks = 8 units.
Extra stockHalifax: 30 − 8 = +22 spare. Toronto: 20 − 40 = −20, room for 20.
Pull it togetherSend spare stock where it will sell, so fewer markdowns are needed.
Whatever is still left at the end gets marked down.
Practice
