C2Relative: when you fill down, it slides to C3, C4, C5…
$H$2Absolute: the $ signs lock it, so every row uses H2.
Fill downWrite the formula once at the top, and the sheet copies it down every row.
Put together: =C2*$H$2 uses each row's own revenue, but always the same VAT rate.
Practice
1. In D2, work out the VAT on Monday's revenue. It fills down to Friday.
=C2*$H$22. In E2, work out the price after the discount: revenue times (1 minus the discount). It fills down.
=C2*(1-$H$3)3. In D2, work out the VAT on each day's revenue. Your formula fills down to Friday.
=C2*$H$24. In F2, work out each day's share of the week's total revenue (C7). It fills down.
=C2/$C$75. In D2, work out each day's revenue with VAT added on top. It fills down.
